The Man With No Shoes

I ran across a quote today, that was really good.  A personal growth goal of mine this year was to be more grateful about the wonderful life we have.

Here was the saying I read:

The man with no shoes wants shoes
The man with shoes, wants new shoes
The man with new shoes, wants better shoes

Quickly the parallel to life is seen in this saying, because once we have a home, we want a bigger home.  Do people need a 2,000 square foot home?  If you complain about having to work so hard, you may want to take a close look at your expenses.

What do we really need to be happy?  If you have a Trakfone, would you be happy enough that you are safe in case of a breakdown or do you really need to be online 24/7 for your own ego (self importance)?

Sorry for the shortness, but these days whenever someone asks how life is going, the first thing heard is generally “man, I am so busy”.  Why?

Whether you meditate, pray, or just sit in silence during the day.  Take a moment of that time and thank whoever you tend to speak to about the wonderful life you have.

If we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, a loving family and/or friends who care about us, we have a pretty amazing life.

Just take a moment to be grateful each day and say it out loud to yourself.  If you hate saying “I am so busy”, take a look at why and fix it…  I am guessing if you are reading this blog, posting on social media, etc…, then you have a lot to be happy and grateful about.

Have a great week ahead.  🙂
