Books to help your journey to a cage free life.

I am putting together a list of books which I have found extremely helpful on our family’s journey to being cage free.  Being in marketing, I always feel like you need to get more value on something than what you spend. Some of these books have given me thousands of dollars in return and other books have given me hours back in my day.  If there are books I am missing or have not read yet, drop me a note and tell me.  I am always looking for another great book to add to my collection of learning.

Dave Ramsey's Book - The Total Money MakeoverSaving money:  My favorite book in the world is Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover.  He just nails it in simple language anyone can understand.  It is not complex investing advice or some Doctoral thesis.  The content is easy to understand and down to earth.  The other thing I really like about Dave is he is a self made guy.  I could write 100 posts on how he has helped me and my family by teaching the basics and keeping it real.

The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness.

Dan Miller - 48 Days to the Work You LoveJob and Career:  I listen to his podcasts, I have read his blog and book.  Dan Miller is another down to earth guy who teaches us in simple language how we can either be our own boss or go after that job you always wanted.  I love the fact he does not judge one profession over another.  When he speaks, it feels like he would support someone flipping burgers if that was what they loved doing or being the CEO of a huge company.  He even talks about coaching some people who went from 6 figure jobs down to 40-50k and were happier and living a more enriched life.  He embodies what a cage free life should be.
